NIT to host weeklong science camp from today

Warangal (Andhra Pradesh): A weeklong summer science camp is being hosted by the National Institute of Technology (NIT) for students who secured top marks in SSC who are now in their senior intermediate.

Around 500 students are going to participate in ongoing science camp scheduled to start from today. The camp will last on 28 June.

Students would interact with scientists of national and international repute from IISc, IITs, National Chemical Laboratory, CCMB, IICT, Shanti Swaroop Bhatnagar awardees and India Academy Fellows during the camp.

NIT Director Y.V. Rao said "The purpose of institute is to benefit children of the State by undertaking the unique INSPIRE programme.This programme is initiated by the Central government in a view to ignite the scientific temper of young minds in the country."
