Hyderabad: The Osmania University (OU) will organize a 'Job Mela' on Saturday, October 11, 2008 for students who have completed their graduation or post-graduation in 2008 or earlier in the Arts, Commerce, Education, Management, Science and Engineering streams.

The varsity is also in the process of establishing a Centre for Placement Services with a view to enhance the value and employability of its students.

An official statement from the varsity said, "The centre will be setup with an aim to train students in personality development & interview skills; establish & maintain a database of students & industry; conduct Job Melas periodically and invite industry for on-campus recruitments; develop university-industry collaborations for human resource development and establish liaison with the placement cells of colleges and HR of Industry".

A number of companies are expected to participate and conduct interviews for recruitment at the Job Mela.
