Guwahati: The Secondary Education Board of Assam (SEBA) has announced the datesheet for HSLC (High School Leaving Certificate) / AHM (Assam High Madrassa) Examination 2012.
The first examination will be conducted on February 21, 2012 for English while the last one will be practical exams on March 17, 2012.
The datesheet for HSSLC (Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate) will be available soon.
UC Das, the Secretary of Higher Secondary Council informed that the class XII examinations would commence on February 24, 2012 with General English as the first paper meant for all four streams Arts, Commerce, Science and Vocational Courses.
The last exam will held on March 21, 2012 for Alternative English and Modern Indian Language (MIL).
Except some subjects, for which number of students are less, rest of the exams will be conducted in the second half from 1:30 to 4:30 pm.
This year the examinations will commence quite later as compare to the last year and the results are expected to be announced within May.
This time, NCERT prescribed books were introduced and to acquaint students properly with lessons, form submission form has been extended till January 4, 2012.
Total number of exam centres has been increased from 697 last year to 751 this year.
Forms are yet to submitted but it is estimated that about 2.5 lakh students will appear for the exam.
