Mumbai: After having cracked the tough Indian Institute of Technology-Joint Entrance Exams (IIT-JEE) on April 13, engineering aspirants are all set to appear in another tough engineering examination - All India Engineering Entrance Exam.
It's expected that more than 5 lakh students would compete for 13,653 seats available at the 19 National Institutes of Technology (NITs) in the country.
"After IIT, most engineering students prefer a seat at one of the NITs It is easier to secure a rank in AIEEE and bag a seat in other states. However, I am just revising what I learnt during the JEE exam as the paper Patten would be similar", said Abhijit Toravi, an NIT aspirant.
Many students also complained of not receiving the admit cards so far. "Although I got my admit card late, I was happy to see that my centre was at Kharghar. Fortunately, I have to travel only till Kharghar", said Archana Sachdev, a resident of Borivili.
