BIT,  Mesra opens admissions to Ph.D Programmes
Ranchi: The Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra will conduct the Entrance Test for full-time and part-time Ph.D Programmes on January 20, 2012.

The courses are offered in Applied Mechanics, Architecture, Bio-Technology, Civil Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Management, Pharmaceutical Sciences and many other streams.

Candidates holding M.Phil or Master's Degree in Engineering, Technology, Management, Pharmacy and Architecture or equivalent with at least 60% marks at master level can apply. For SC/ST candidates and full-time candidates with a minimum of three years of experience, 55% marks are required.

Besides, applicants with M.phil or Master's Degree in Science or Humanities are also eligible though the percentage of marks differs for them.

However, candidates with other specified qualifications and work experience can also appear if they meet the defined criteria.

Candidates must be fluent in written and spoken English.

Application forms can be submitted by January 9, 2012.
