New Delhi: As it is well known, nearly 10 lakh students appeared in the Class 10 & Class 12 Board examinations conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) this year.
As a natural phenomenon, students remain anxious about the results. Every year the CBSE, declares firm dates about the declaration of the results which is normally the second fortnight of May.
This year some parts of the media had reported that the results would be announced on May 16 and after that there has been various non-firm dates reported in various sections of the media, bringing in lot of anxiety and stress amongst the students.
Even till today no firm dates have been announced by the CBSE and anxious students are crawling pillar to post of the web throughout the day.
Even though NNE through its specially setup channel www.CBSE.ExamResults.net has been trying to keep students updated about the time of declaration of results, we have not been able to get any firm and even our efforts of contacting CBSE officials has not yielded any results.
It is surprising to see while the CBSE on one hand sets up helplines to relieve the students of the exam result related stress - it has probably failed to visualize the stress which the uncertainty about the declaration of results is causing to the students. A premier national agency like CBSE should have clearly set times about such important events in the larger interest of the student community.
