New Delhi: The Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2009, conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will be held as per schedule on May 17, 2009 across the country.

"There is, however, no change in the schedule of this examination as instances have occurred in the past where false news items appeared in Hindi dailies regarding postponement of some of the examinations conducted by the Commission", an official release from the Commission said.
