Dental Council starts two courses with tie-up from IGNOU

New Delhi: In a new development, two new certified courses have been launched by Dental Council of India (DCI) in collaboration with Indira Gandhi National Open University.

The two course are aimed at grooming medical students with the latest technical knowledge and also to improve the standards of training in dental segment

The courses will be a post-graduate certificate qualification in Endodontics and Oral Implantology will commence from July 2008 through open and distance learning mode.

Further, the duration of each course will be of one year and students would be able to complete it the entire course over duration of three years. The entrance test for the new courses is scheduled to be held on June 1. There is no age limit to for admission to both the courses.

Presently, there are 12 centers for Oral Implantology and 15 for Endodontics. Each center will admit six students, said Dr. Anil Kohli, DCI President.
