ICAR to conduct AIEEA 2009 on April 19

New Delhi: The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) will conduct the 14th All India Entrance Examination (AIEEA-UG-2009) for admission to Bachelor degree programmes in Agriculture and allied sciences other than veterinary sciences on April 19, 2009.

The AIEEA 2009 will be conducted to fill-up the 15 percent seats in State Agricultural Universities, AAI-DU, Allahabad, CAU, Imphal, NDRI (100 pc seats) and Central Universities having Agriculture faculty namely BHU, Viswa Bharti and Nagaland University for Bachelor degree programmes (B.Sc./B.Tech./B.F.Sc. etc) in the subjects of Agriculture, Horticulture, Agricultural Engineering, Dairy Technology, Biotechnology, Forestry, Food Science, Fisheries Sciences, Home Science, Sericulture, Agricultural Marketing, Banking & Co-operation, and Commercial Agriculture & Business Management.

AIEEA Announcement 2009

Candidates who have passed and obtained not less than 50 pc marks in aggregate (for admission under General, UPS and OBC categories), or 40 pc marks in aggregate (for admissions under SC, ST and PH Categories) in 10+2 examination with PCM/PCB / PCH / PCMB/PCA subject combinations are eligible for the exam.

Information bulletins along with application forms will be available for sale with effect from January 21, 2009 to March 7, 2009 against cash payment of Rs.400 + Rs.25 (handling charges) for General, OBC and UPS categories and Rs.200 + Rs.25 (handling charges) for S.C., S.T. and P.H. categories from the office of the Registrars of Agricultural Universities and Branches of the Syndicate Bank.

Candidates from remote areas can obtain the Information Bulletin with Application Form by sending written request to the Controller of Examination, Education Division, ICAR, New Delhi - 110012 along with bank draft of Rs.450 (Rs.400 + Rs.50 towards postal & handling charges) for General, OBC and UPS categories and Rs.250 (Rs.200 + Rs.50 towards postal & handling charges ) for SC, ST and PH Categories, in favour of DDG (Education), ICAR payable at New Delhi with a self addressed envelope without postage stamps.

The last date for the receipt of filled Application Forms in the Office of the Controller of Exams is March 10, 2009. However, for the candidates from remote areas, the last date for the receipt of filled-in application form is March 17, 2009.
