Assembly passes Delhi Technological University Bill 2009
New Delhi: The Delhi College of Engineering (DCE), rated among the Top Ten Engineering Colleges of India will, soon be upgraded to the Delhi Technological University (DTU).

The Delhi Government passed the Delhi Technological University (DTU) Bill 2009 on Wednesday.

The Government plans to double the number of seats for the undergraduate courses in the next two years at the institute.

DCE has 85 percent seats for students of Delhi. The increase in seats will mean more options for students of Delhi.

New courses will be offered by DCE from the forthcoming academic session, starting from August, adding 458 new seats -- 240 new seats in the B.Tech. programme, 168 new post-graduate seats in the M.Tech. programmes and 50 new Ph.D. and teaching-cum-research fellowships.
