Financial grant for upcoming Central Univ.

New Delhi: The financial grant provided by the Indian Government for setting up of the new Central Universities along with Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs); Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) across India in the coming academic year 2008 - 09 as stated in the below given table.

It is now decided that Indian Institutes Science Education Research at Bhopal and Thrivananthapuram will shortly be opened with 75 students. Whereas, the state government of Andhra Pradesh, Bihar and Rajasthan have been requested to make space available for commencing Indian Institute of Technology classes including the intake of 120 students each on the basis of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), for the coming academic year i.e 2008 - 09.

However, Indian Institute of Management in Shillong has already made all the establishment and is all set to commence its initial session from 2008 - 09 with excluding 60 students on the basis of the common Admission Test which was conducted in the year 2007.
