Results of nursery admission to be out in February
New Delhi: While the nursery admission woes of parents have almost ended for this season, the result jitters may not.

As per the guidelines of the Directorate of Education (DoE) the first list of the selected students will be announced by the schools by the first week of February.

Where some schools are still proceeding with the informal interaction process with the parents, others are already over with it and are now busy finalizing their final list.

Principal of Springdales School, Pusa Road, Ameeta Mulla Wattal said, "We have been closely following the guidelines of the DoE for nursery admissions. Currently, we are conducting informal interactive sessions with the parents, which will help us gauge the family background from where the child hails."

Highlighting the essence of the informal interaction with the parents, the teachers at Springdales said that, the questions are largely based on the locality from which a child comes, family background, questions targeted at checking out the thinking pattern of parents, etc.

The schools currently are rushing to meet the deadlines to compete the nursery admission procedure by the end of this month so that they are able to produce the list of the shortlisted students by February.

"Nursery admissions are going in full swing in the school these days. We recently had the interaction session with the parents which went on for three to four days," said a teacher at Vasant Valley School.
