Right to Education Bill referred to GoM

New Delhi: The union cabinet on Friday referred the Right to Education Bill 2005 to the Group of Ministers (GoM), an official said.

The bill, once approved by the GoM, is expected to be taken up during the monsoon session of parliament, an official said.

Once approved by parliament, the bill will pave the way for free and compulsory education to children between six and 14 years of age. IANS
