AIEEE on May 11 for candidates who missed test on Sunday
New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that the All India Engineering Entrance test (AIEEE) 2011 that had been delayed by two hours due to the question paper being leaked will be conducted again on May 11, 2011 for candidates who had been unable to appear for the paper after its delay.

The examination will be conducted on May 11 from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM in 38 cities.

In an official notification on Tuesday, the CBSE said that the examination will be conducted only for those candidates who could not appear for the rescheduled paper on May 1.

It further added that the candidature of all candidates who had appeared for the AIEEE on Sunday and who register for the rescheduled examination will be canceled.

Candidates who could not appear for the delayed AIEEE on Sunday because the exam centre where they were to appear was an Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) Entrance Test centre also and the centre could not conduct the delayed AIEEE will be allowed to give the test on May 11.

For such candidates, the city, centres and the roll numbers for the test will all remain the same.

For candidates who had been unable to give the delayed AIEEE because they had to appear for the AFMC test at a different centre will be required to register online on the CBSE website for appearing in the re-scheduled AIEEE. The roll numbers of such candidates will also remain the same.

Certain candidates had been unable to appear for the AIEEE when it had been delayed by two hours due to administrative reasons. These candidates too will be required to register online on CBSE's website for appearing for the rescheduled test on May 11 and their roll numbers will remain the same.

Candidates who had applied for the online mode of the AIEEE but had been unable to appear for the delayed test because of AFMC examination at a different centre would also have to register online on the CBSE website. The roll numbers of these candidates will remain the same. However, they will have to give the test in the paper-pen format.

The last date for candidates to register their names for reappearing in the rescheduled AIEEE on May 11 is May 5. Candidates will be able to download their admit cards from the CBSE website from May 9.
