Panaji: Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) Shripad Naik, on Thursday donated two vans to Keshav Seva Sadhanas Narayan Zantye School for special children, Bicholim, under the MPLAD Scheme.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Naik called upon the people to work with the missionary towards empowering the destitute, stating that special children need encouragement & guidance and not just sympathy.
"Special children have a lot of talent, so we need to encourage them to succeed in their life", he said.
He handed over the keys of both the vans to Dr. Guruprasad Kapdi, Chairman of the Special children school.
Dr. Guruprasad Kapadi welcomed the gathering while Mrs. Ketki Khandolkar proposed the vote of thanks.
Earlier Mr. Naik laid the foundation stone of a new school building - Harmal Panchkrosh Shikshan Mandal, in the presence of MLA Laximikant Parsekar at Harmal Pernem.
