Panjim: The Bharat Scouts and Guides Association, Goa, conducted a refresher course for Scoutmasters and Guide captains at the Institute Menezes Braganza Hall recently.

About 25 Scoutmasters and Guidecaptains attended the course.

Director of Fire and Emergency Services, Ashok Menon was present as the Chief Guest of the function. He lit the traditional lamp to mark the inauguration of the workshop.

Menon highlighted the importance of the Scouting movement throughout the world and said, "This movement is very important as it develops confidence and leadership qualities in young students."

He complimented the association and assured his wholehearted support. PRO John Aguiar introduced the chief guest.

State Training Commissioner (Guides) Mrs. Elizibeth Mascarenhas welcomed the gathering.

State Training Commissioner (Scouts) Diogo Fernandes explained the aims and objectives of the association.

Asstt. State Training Commissioner (Scouts) Rajendra Kumar Rane was also present at the function.
