Chandigarh: The All India Sainik School Examination for admission to Class VI and Class XII will be held on January 4, 2009.
Under the examination, 70 students for Class VI and 12 for Class IX will be selected for the Sainik School in Kunjpura and 80 students will be selected for Class VI of Sainik School, Rewari.
The examination will be held at four centres - Kunjpura (Karnal), Rohtak, Rewari and New Delhi.
Question papers for Class VI will be in both English and Hindi, while the questions papers for Class IX would be only in English.
Sainik School, Kunjpura was basically established for boys from Haryana and Delhi. Some seats are, however, also reserved for boys from other states and Union Territories.
Around 25 percent, 15 percent and 7.5 percent seats are reserved for dependents of defence personnel including ex-servicemen and those belonging to Scheduled Castes (SCs) and Scheduled Tribes (STs) respectively.
