Haryana Govt. to setup English labs in colleges

Chandigarh: The Government of Haryana decided to set up English language labs in 25 Government-aided colleges, which will be developed as "Centre of Excellence".

The announcement was made by state education minister, Mange Ram Gupta.

Gupta also announced the introduction of a new subject - "Certificate course in Communication Skills".

He said that these labs will help students in terms of self-learning. A grant of Rs.2 lakh each would be given to these colleges for construction of rooms, each having a seating capacity of about 25 students.
