Haryana Govt decides to increase lecturers' post

Bhiwani: In its recent initiative, the Government of Haryana has decided to increase the number of posts of lecturer by 25 per cent every year so as to create more employment opportunities.

Finance Minister Mr. Birender Singh disclosed this yesterday while addressing a convocation ceremony of Government Postgraduate College here.

Mr. Singh said by increasing the number of lecturers, the students, especially those in rural areas, would benefit form experienced teachers and hence would receive quality education.

The state government has so far initiated many developmental plans in education sector. The government has made computer education compulsory for all students in colleges so as to enable them have job-oriented education in this era of IT/ITeS.

The government is also planning to give an additional increment in the salary of those members of the nursing staff who have attained higher education.

Above all, it is the duty of teachers to participate actively in this academic revolution. Mr. Singh urged the teachers to inculcate moral values in students besides just academic knowledge.
