Chandigarh: The Haryana government has decided to launch a new project for the purpose of providing mid-day meals to all girl students from classes 9 to 12 in government schools of six districts.
This was announced by Haryana Chief Secretary Urvashi Gulati on Thursday. Currently, the mid-day meal is provided to both boys and girls studying in government primary and middle schools all over the state.
Urvashi Gulati had presided over a meeting of the state-level Steering-cum-Monitoring Committee of the Mid-day Meal Programme.
She stated that the pilot project will be launched in Ambala, Hisar, Kaithal, Rewari, Rohtak and Yamunanagar.
