Chandigarh: The Government of Haryana has decided to promote 426 teachers from various government schools to fill the vacant posts of headmasters.
The vacancies for the post of headmasters are pending for the past many years on account of various issues, including litigations in courts.
"The decision was taken after a meeting of the Departmental Promotion Committee on Friday", said Haryana Education Minister Mange Ram Gupta.
"183 posts have been kept reserved for the promotion, which will be done shortly after receiving the records of all concerned teachers", added the Education Minister.
