Haryana: Pre-Engineering courses will be introduced in 11 colleges of Haryana from the forthcoming academic session, the state government has announced.
M P Gupta, Director, Technical Education Department of Haryana informed that new course, recognized by the Haryana School Education Board (HSEB), would also employ 50 percent seats for students who have passed their matriculation examination from schools in the rural areas.
The HSEB would award a Senior Secondary School Examination Certificate equivalent to 10+2 (Non-Medical) to all the enrolled students.
The decision would also assist students coming from families below the poverty line with full free-ships. Each college will have an intake of 200 students every year.
The colleges which will introduce the course include Panipat Institute of Textile and Engineering, Pattikalyana, Samalkha (Panipat); Technology Education and Research Institute, Kurukshetra; Haryana Institute of Technology, Asodha (Bahadurgarh); BM College of Technology and Management, Hari Nagar (Dumha), Farrukhnagar (Gurgaon); Lingyas Institute of Management and Technology, Nachauli Jasana Road, Faridabad; Gold Field Institute of Technology, Village Channisa, Ballabgarh (Faridabad); Advanced Institute of Technology and Management, Aurangabad, Tehsil Hodal Faridabad); Geeta Institute of Management and Technology, Kanipla, Kurukshetra; Sat Priya Institute of Engineering and Technology, Rohtak; Bhiwani Institute of Technology and Sciences, Sarsa Ghogra (Bhiwani); and Jan Nayak Ch. Devi Lal Memorial College of Engineering, Sirsa.
