Semester system to be introduced at Maharshi Dayanand University

Rohtak: The Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) will soon introduce semester system at postgraduate (PG) and undergraduate (UG) levels in science and commerce streams in the affiliated colleges of the varsity from 2009-10.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the Academic Council of the varsity held recently.

The meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Vice-Chancellor of the varsity.

A committee will be constituted to monitor the implementation of the semester system.

'Computer Education' in UG courses in the affiliated colleges will also be offered on the pattern of Kurukshetra University from 2009-10.

MTech (software engineering) course in the Department of Computer Science and Technology will also be introduced from 2009-10.
