Hamirpur: The National Institute of Technology (NIT), Hamirpur has signed a memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sheffield Hallam University, UK.
The MoU was signed by NIT's director Mr. I.K. Bhatt and Sheffield Hallam University's Mr. Graham Button in the presence of Robert G. Harris, UK's distinguished computer specialist.
The collaboration between NIT-Hamirpur and Sheffield Hallam University will work towards student and faculty exchange programmes, programme development, internship opportunities, executive education, research and curriculum transfer among others.
NIT-Hamirpur is one of the premier technological universities in India. The Institute offers Undergraduate (B.Tech. in Core branches of Engineering. and B. Arch.) and Post Graduate (M. Tech. and Ph.D) degree programmes in various branches of Engineering, Science and Humanities. Owing to its academic excellence, the University Grants Commission (UGC) has recognized it as an institute of national importance and also it has been bestowed with the Deemed University status.
