St Bede's college gets new principal

Shimla: One of India's oldest all-women's colleges, St. Bede's in Shimla, has a new principal, Sister Beena John, an official said on Sunday.

St. Bede's, founded in 1904, has alumni like actress Preity Zinta, late model and beauty queen Persis Khambatta and Himachal Pradesh's first woman police officer Satwant Atwal.

Sister John has a doctorate in economics and will be the 14th principal since the institute was founded. IANS
