Ahmedabad: Four new subjects will be introduced in the fifth term of the Post Graduate Programme for Agricultural Business Management (PGP-ABM) at Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A), beginning this September.

The decision was taken at a regular meeting of the officials at the institute.

The 4 new subjects in the PGP-ABM programme include Negotiations in Agriculture, Information Technology for Agriculture Development, Inclusive Agriculture Business and Agriculture & Rural Policy Design.

A senior faculty member at the institute said, "The institute received several recommendations from faculty members and students and as a result the new subjects have been included in the fifth term."

The implementation of the new subjects in the fifth term will depend on the number of registrations received for the subjects from students at the institute.

"We have an upper and lower limit for registration of subjects. If the number of registrations doesn't fall in the decided limit, they are taken up as projects instead of subjects," the faculty member added.
