Jaipur: The NIIT University happens to be the largest eco-friendly educational campus in development to join hands with Rajasthan government's plantation drive-Harit Rajasthan.
Academician and MP Dr. Karan Singh inaugurated the campus and launched the programme.

The Founder of the University, Mr. Rajendra Panwar said that, "There would mass plantation around the campus. Around 2000 seedlings has been planted and thousands more would be planted in the future. Drip Irrigation method is used to best utilize the quantity of water to grow plants."

Dr. Rajeev Shorey, President of the University, informed that, "No air conditioning will be used for any part of the campus instead, air that has been cooled automatically in a 12-feet deep underground tunnel would be pumped into each room, thus lowering the temperature and carbon emissions as well. Even 97 percent of water that is being used in the campus will be recycled."
