Indian Professors launch Cyber Campus

Houston (USA): Indian Professors from some top US universities have launched a private cyber university - The International University of Business & Technology (IUBT) that has opened its portals to graduate degree seekers in highly demanding business management and health Sciences areas.

The Cyber University is a boon to the online student community worldwide breaking the barriers of boundaries between nations. The academic program delivery will be done by acclaimed faculty across the world and shall be monitored and controlled by university professors from US to ensure quality.

IUBT has entered into a strategic relationship with STG, Inc. who is its technology partner and will provide state of the art education technologies and the Internet for delivery of these programs.

The program is delivered through STG's SmartLink which is a next generation e-Learning solution. "SmartLink provides web based collaboration, learning management and content management tools on an open, scalable, secure and web based modular platform", says Mr. Yogesh Vaidya, STG. Inc.

"IUBT has designed world class graduate certificate and master programs that are cost effective, have a global reach and will benefit students from third world countries who find it very expensive to come to US for studies", said a varsity source.

The varsity will offer Graduate Certificate and Masters Degree programs in Management and Healthcare Sciences - MBA, Healthcare Administration (MHA), Healthcare Informatics (MHI), and Public Health (MPH).

The Courses are designed to offer core knowledge of the businesses and challenges they face today and provide special cutting edge skills to empower professionals to handle future advancement also.

"The University will offer Absolutely Free Preparatory Courses to anyone who wishes to strengthen academic background prior to taking graduate certificate and/or master program. These courses are offered round the year and students complete them at their own pace. This is a unique attraction unheard of being offered by any other university." said Professor Purnendu Mandal.

The IUBT faculty is from top universities in the United States and other parts of the world with vast knowledge and experience in their specialization with research as well as practice, which creates new real-world learning.

Adjunct Faculty from business organizations, industry, private, public and government agencies also find a place in the university to bring practical experience to the students and ensure better academia and industry interaction.

"The courses are delivered through a customized WebUniversity portal which is a Virtual Campus of Learning. The portal is available to students around the world, regardless of geographic boundaries." said Mr. Mohammad Subedar. Course assignments and submission will be done online. The class participants will be able to interact with fellow students.

"The programs of this University will be in great demand throughout the world, especially in the Middle East, Asian and other developing countries considering both affordability and accessibility issues.", added Professor Angappa Gunasekaran.

The university hopes to bring relief to severe shortage of trained public health practitioners, information technologists in healthcare, and qualified administrators for hospitals and other healthcare entities.
