Manipal University to setup permanent campus in Dubai

Manipal: Manipal University will soon setup a permanent campus in Dubai to reinforce its market position in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The University is planning to acquire about 15 acres of land in Dubai for its permanent campus.

Mr. B. Ramjee, Director of Dubai campus of the varsity said, "The permanent campus will be ready within 12-15 months and will accommodate about 6000 students. Extensive laboratories and libraries would be a feature of the new building. This will help us build as the largest private Indian educational institution in the UAE".

A host of new courses in the field of Engineering, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Nursing and Hospitality will also be introduced later this year at the varsity.

The Dubai campus of the varsity was started in 2003 with about 100 students. Today, the institute has more than 1700 students.

Manipal University has 20 constituent colleges that offer over 180 courses across 13 streams including Medicine, Dentistry, Engineering, Nursing, Allied Health, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Management, Mass Communication, Information Sciences, Hotel Management and Regenerative Medicine besides several others.
