Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir Minister for Technical Education Haji Nissar Ali has asked the concerned officials to accelerate the infrastructural development process in various polytechnic colleges and industrial training institutes (ITIs) in the state.

The funds for upgrading infrastructure have already been provided by the World Bank.

"Officers should take measures so that various ongoing construction works for the physical infrastructure of these colleges and institutions and these institutes are expedited," the Minister said at a review meeting of the functioning of the department of technical education.

Mr. Ali further stressed on utilizing the prime minister's package to modernise existing ITIs and establish Women's ITIs in the state.
