Dhanbad: Indian School of Mines (I.S.M.) Dhanbad has declared the entrance exam dates on May 13, 2012 for admission in courses for 2012-2013 academic session.

The offered programmes include 2-year M. Sc. in Chemistry, 2-year M. Sc. in Mathematics & Computing, 2-year M. Sc. in Applied Physics, 3-year M. Sc. Tech. in Applied Geophysics and 3-year M. Sc. Tech. in Applied Geology.

Candidates holding 3 years B.Sc. Degree with major in the corresponding subject are eligible to apply. Besides, applicants with 4 year B.S.c B. Ed. Degree can also appear for the exam if they meet the above mentioned basic criterion.

Only those candidates who are born on or after October 1, 1988 are eligible to sit in the exam. A relaxation of 5 years and 3 years is provided to SC/ST/PD (orthopaedically handicapped) and OBC applicants respectively.

Exams will be conducted in Chennai, Bhubaneshwar, Dhanbad, Kolkata, Hyderabad, new Delhi, Guwahati and Varanasi.

Prospectus and application forms are available from the I.S.M. sale counter during office hours on any working day i.e. Monday to Friday from 2nd January, 2012 to 2nd march, 2012. Applications forms can also be downloaded from the University's website.

Application forms can be submitted by March 9, 2012.
