Bangalore University to sign MoU with US varsity
Bengaluru: Taking a step further in strengthening its academic infrastructure, Bangalore University (BUB) is set to sign a MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with Georgia College and State University.

According to an announcement made here on Sunday, delegates from the two institutions had an interaction, in which they identified areas of interest such as Online Education, which will facilitate real-time interaction between the professors from Georgia College and BUB students and Georgia College students and BUB professors.

Associate Provost for Academic Affairs at the US varsity, Tom Ormond, said that the intention of the delegation was to share knowledge, resources and expertise.

The two bodies are also discussing a Summer Discovery Workshop, which would work as an exchange programme, as well as an international study tour for MBA students in May 2012.

Other areas of interest such as widening the scope of the four-year BS course offered by BUB, and of postgraduate courses in business administration, management information systems, and accountancy and law were also discussed.
