Bangalore: Karnataka Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa on Sunday said that the Government will consider establishing a university of cinema in the memory of the legendary actor of Kannada cinema, late Rajkumar.

The request for a varsity named after the actor was made by the Kannada Film Directors Association (KANFIDA).

Speaking at the Annual KANFIDA Film awards ceremony, Yeddyurappa said that his Government would discuss the Association's request and make an official announcement very shortly.

Rajkmar was a very popular actor from the Kannada Cinema Industry. He was also honoured by the prestigious 'Dada Saheb Phalke' award for his outstanding contribution to the growth of the Kannada Film Industry.
