Nod to reservation for economically deprived forward class in Kerala

New Delhi: The Government of Kerala has announced a 10 percent reservation in Government-run colleges and 7.5 percent reservation in universities for students hailing from economically deprived forward classes.

The Quota will be applicable for degree and post-graduate courses.

In addition, nine Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) will also be developed as Centres of Excellence.

Government has also allocated 70 acres of land for the proposed IT Park at Kozhikode.

There are two IT parks in the state currently; at Thiruvanthapuram and Kochi.
