Bhopal: Hundreds of guest lecturers from across Madhya Pradesh held a sit-in outside the house of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan here on Friday demanding regularization of their service.

The protestors demanded to meet the chief minister. The town inspector of Shamla Hills police station Kamal Jain arranged their meeting with an official who told them that Chouhan was not in town and they could only meet him on Saturday.

The agitating lecturers, however, refused to withdraw their sit in and the police had to use force to disperse them. The protesters alleged that at least six of them were injured in the police action.

However, the police denied cane charging the guest lecturers. IANS
