Indian students head back after South African visit

Cape Town: A delegation of 52 students from a business school in India, the Indian Institute of Planning & Management (IIPM) headed home after a week-long study tour aimed at furthering links between institutes of higher learning in South Africa and India.

The students were hosted by the Graduate School of Business (GSB) at the University of Cape Town.

A comprehensive programme included an overview and comment on India's relationship and ties with South Africa by Indian mission representatives, as well as lectures by the university staff on a diverse range of topics.

The IIPM group also visited the Cape Town Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry, where they were briefed on the economy of the Western Cape Province.

A similar session took place with Wesgro, the official investment and trade promotion agency of the Western Cape province.

The IIPM group described the interaction as extremely useful. IANS
