AIPMT 2012 to conduct on April 1
New Delhi: The Govt's plea to conduct the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Exam for Undergraduates (NEET-UG) from the year 2013 instead of the year 2012 has been declined by the Supreme Court (SC), but the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to continue with the regular All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT) for 2012.

The preliminary examinations will be conducted on April 1 and the main examinations will take place on May 13.

CBSE has informed that it will conduct Medical Entrance Examination in 2012, exclusively for the 15% merit positions for the Medical/Dental Colleges of India as specified in the directive of the court.

The exam will be governed by the rules and regulations specified for the same by the Government of India, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare from time to time.

CBSE's announcement for AIPMT schedule brought relief for the students, who were confused whether the exam for 2012 will take place or not.
