Pondicherry: The Jawaharlal Institute of Post-graduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Pondicherry has notified its date of entrance examination for admission into five year MBBS course (2007 - 08). The examination for the course will be held on May 27, this year. As per the notification, the test will be held simultaneously in Pondicherry, Chennai, Hyderabad, New Delhi, Kolkata and Thiruvananthapuram. The test will be of two and half hour duration which will begin at 10 a.m. The prospectus along with the application form can be had from extension counter of the Bank of Baroda, JIPMER campus between 9.30 a. m. and 3 p.m. on all working days and between 9.30 a.m. and 12 noon on Saturdays.

Cost of application form is Rs.350 for general category candidates and Rs. 250 for SC and ST candidates. Applications can also be printed or sent through online through the institute's website - www.jipmer.edu. The last date for receipt of filled-in application forms (both printed and on line) is March 28.
