Medical infrastructure in Puducherry to be upgraded - Ramadoss
New Delhi: A delegation of the state ministers and legislators, led by Mr. V. Vaithilingam, Chief Minister of Puducherry met Union Health Minister Dr. Anbumani Ramadoss, here today to discuss central assistance for the Puducherry Government Medical College.

Dr. Anbumani Ramadoss said that the Centre will look into the requirements of medical infrastructure in Puducherry and will render all possible support.

The delegation was also accompanied by Mr. Narayansamy, Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Professor M. Ramadass, Member of Parliament from Puducherry.

The delegation also demanded additional funding under the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM).

Dr. Ramadoss was informed by the delegation about the scope of Indian system of medicine in Puducherry and sought financial help for posting of one 'Ayush' doctor at each of the primary health centre in the state.
