Ludhiana: Education Minister of Punjab, Sewa Singh Sekhwan announced at GGN Khalsa College on Friday that Moral Education will be taught as a subject in Punjab Government Schools from next academic session. He further added that it has become a requirement of contemporary age.

Mr. Sekhwan also informed that Higher Education Policy will be implemented soon and a Library Act will also be implemented to help the poor students gain access to books, newspapers and magazine.

On demand of Gurbhajan Singh Gill, President, Punjabi Sahit Academy, the Government School at Jalal Village in Bathinda would be christened after Late Singer Kuldeep Manak.
