Punjab: A high-level committee, formed under the chairmanship of Dalbir Singh Dhillon, Chairman of the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB), has decided to revise the Punjabi syllabi for the middle, matric and senior secondary levels.
The committee, headed by Dhillon, comprised of experts in Punjabi language literature and Punjabi culture.
"The decision has been taken to improve the status of Punjabi as a language and give it the right direction. Moreover, there was an urgent need to modify the methodology of the study of Punjabi and its syllabus", an official said.
Efforts will also be made to make students aware of Punjabi traditions and culture, the official added.
