Ludhiana: Jaswinder Singh Sodhi has proved that disabilities are no way hurdles to one's career goals. Jaswinder, despite suffering from multiple disabilities, has scripted history by scoring 82.3 percent marks in the Class X exam conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
"For the first time, I have realized my true potential," said a delighted Jaswinder Singh.
Jaswinder Singh, a student of Guru Nanak Public School suffers from Cerebral Palsy and Optic Aprophy (having vision in one eye only) since birth.

Acknowledging the feat of her son, Dr. Neelam Sodhi, a Gynecologist at Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital, said, "He has a very sharp memory and once he listens anything, he never forgets it. The teachers of kindergarten and primary section of the school helped him a lot. From school watchman to the principal, everyone knows him well. At times, he used to feel that his is not being evaluated well by people around him. But today he is a happy person."
The principal of the school, Mr. R S Gill also advised students to take lessons from Jaswinder's achievement and said, "He is indeed a brilliant child. I wish him a happy and prosperous future."
Jaswinder who now aspires to become a software engineer is also a passionate cricket fan.
