Jaipur: The government of Rajasthan, in its recent cabinet meeting, decided to regularize the service of temporary teachers in all universities in the state. Education minister Kalicharan Saraf told reporters here on Thursday about the decision.

The minister said he has presented a bill to this effect in the state assembly currently in session for approval of the house. After the clearance of the bill a long-pending demand of the temporary teachers would be fulfilled, Saraf added.

The Education Department, Rajasthan spends approximately 70 per cent of the total fund allocated to it, towards disbursal of salaries and the balance is utilized for miscellaneous purchases and development under the supervision of a three-member committee.
