New Delhi: The Sikkim Manipal University (SMU) and IIHT, a Bangalore based hardware & networking training company, will provide a course in Infrastructure Management Services (IMS) in a joint venture.

A graduation degree and a post-graduate diploma in IMS will be offered under the scheme. Both students and working professionals are eligible to apply for the course.

The BSc IMS degree is a 3 year program consisting of 6 semesters which ensures students a head start in the field of IT-IMS.

The first two semesters of the course concentrates on Desktop Management, the other two semesters deal with Network Management. The final semesters focus on Enterprise Management skills.

Initially, IIHT will launch 50 exclusive learning centres across India which will be called 'IIHT varsity'.
