Chennai: Anna University will organize the Tamil Nadu State Level Placement Programme (TNSLPP) 2008-09, for the present final year (2009 passing out) students studying in self-financing engineering colleges of Tamil Nadu on October 14-15, 2008.

The varsity's Centre for University Industry Collaboration will conduct the two-day placement programme at Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College, (Vattamalaipalayam).

An official from the varsity said, "As per the requirements of Infosys Technologies Limited, which has agreed to participate in the programme, the final year students of B.E. / B.Tech. (All Branches) with an average of 77 percent and above from I Semester to VI semester will be considered for this recruitment programme. It is mandatory that all students should secure an average of 75 percent and above marks consistently in their (10th & Plus 2)."

"M.E., M.Tech., & MCA students with a minimum of 75 percent marks consistently from 10th Standard onwards are also eligible to participate. The participants should have completed their arrears examination and results declared", the official added.
