Over 92 percent students pass CBSE exam in Chennai zone

Over 92 percent students pass CBSE exam in Chennai zone

Chennai: Over 92 percent of students from the Chennai zone have passed in the Central Board of Secondary Education class 12 examinations. The results were announced here on Wednesday. Chennai zone includes Tamil Nadu, the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Goa, Kerala, Maharashtra and Karnataka. About 550,000 students had taken the exam.

The toppers are Akhilesh Narayan and Rahul Das.

The pass percentage was over 92.78 and girl students performed better than boys.

The pass percentage for boys was about 89 and for girls it was almost 93 percent, CBSE officials said.

There was 11 percent increase in pass results for students in this zone, the officials. IANS
