Stock Market Trade to be included in the CBSE syllabus
Chennai: The Chairman of stock market regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), UK Sinha informed that Investment education will be included in the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) curriculum soon.

Addressing a conference organized by the national Stock Exchange (NSE), Sinha said that they have also consulted the Human Resource Development (HRD) ministry and the CBSE, regarding the inclusion.

The study material will primarily educate children on stock markets, providing them an insight into investment of surplus money in the market.

The education will be imparted to the Senior Secondary students, Sinha added. But, further details are yet to be disclosed, as talks are still in its infancy stage.

Experts, comprising SEBI chief general manager Suresh Menon and NSE MD Ravi Narain said that educating students on investment of surplus money and stock market at school and college level is as crucial as learning daily lessons.
