New Delhi: The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) today gave its 'in-principle' approval to the outlay of Rs.10328.20 crore, as recommended by the Expenditure Finance Committee for infrastructure development of the Central Universities, and Management and Technical Institutions for their capacity expansion by 54 percent.

Out of this, an amount of Rs.4107.91 crore will be of recurring nature while the remaining amount of Rs.6220.29 crore would be non-recurring expenditure.

The implementation of recommendations of the Oversight Committee and Empowered Committee will benefit students in Central Universities and Management and Technical Institutions.
