SSC announces Tax Assistant Examination 2008 result
New Delhi: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the result of Tax Assistant (Income Tax & Central Excise) Examination 2008 held on March 29, 2009, for recruitment to the post of Tax Assistant (Income Tax and Customs Excise) today.

According to an official press release, out of the 1,69,203 candidates registered for the examination in the offices of the Central Board for Direct Tax (CBDT) and Central Board of Excise and Customs(CBEC), 615 candidates for the office of the CBDT and 723 for the office of CBEC have been recommended for appointment to the post of Tax Assistant.
