New Delhi: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) will celebrate its 23rd Foundation Day on November 19, 2008.

Prof. M.S. Swaminathan, Founder Chairman of the M.S. Swaminathan Foundation (Chennai), will deliver a lecture on "Sustainable agriculture leading to an ever green revolution" on the occasion.

Mr. Abid Hussain, a well-known economist and former ambassador to the US, will speak on "Liberal Education, Pluralism and Diversity" at 3.30 pm on the same day.

An appreciation programme on Sustainability Science will also be launched by the varsity on this occasion.
